Well Done Hospitality!!! I have stay this hotel for 2 days overall satisfaction with service and money paid for stay this hotel. Housekeeping staff very friendly and room very clean and comfortable stay at Vouk hotel. Definitely i will be back on next business trip.

Review of Vouk Hotel Penang (Room 411): This is my second time staying at Vouk Hotel in Penang. My first 7-night stay around April 2023 was 4-stars, and this recent 2-night stay in December 2023, in the same room, is just 3-stars. I am unlikely to stay here again as the maintenance issues seem to be getting worse rather than better, unfortunately. It's not a bad place to stay; the hotel just needs a lot of work. ---Pros: 1. Central location to easily access most of Penang's popular areas; walk to Northam night market (5 minute walk), Gurney Drive/Plaza (10-20 minutes walk), and even historic Georgetown (20-30 minutes walk). 2. Very comfortable bed and linens. 3. Very spacious room and bathroom. 4. Great pharmacy and a Starbucks next door. 5. In-room, secured safe deposit box with customizable digital code. 6. Large workstation/desk and plenty of cabinet space. ---Cons: 1. Found several bugs/roaches in the bathroom, some adults and many babies, and one adult in the main area. 2. No hot water in the shower or sink the second day. 3. Needs minor maintenance (damaged wood flooring, inoperable wall light to the left of bed, electrical switch on left of bed sticks out from wall, wallpaper needs to be replaced, etc.) 4. Wifi is annoying to access, especially with a laptop. Each time you return to the room you need to re-login to the network. 5. Cash deposit of RM100 required to check in. 6. Hotel hallways are very dated and need a renovation/upgrade. 7. Not very quiet; you can easily hear people in the hallway and the adjacent rooms. I suggest getting a room at the far end of the hallway, furthest from the elevator, to minimize noise.

Stayed 3 nights. Comfortable room and friendly staff. The only downside are the dim ceiling lights which made it hard to read at night. I suggest that reading table lamps or standing lamps be provided.

Good - Room is actually nice and cozy and the h/keeping almost come everyday to tidy up bed & refill soap & drinking water. -Breakfast is quite nice -Hotels looks nice and grand from the outside Bad - The cleanliness its up to hotel standard, I stay alone I don't know why there is a lot of long hair from the toilet & bed - Yellow & sticky stain inside bathroom -Every 3.00AM is there always somebody banging the door, knocking and vacuuming in this hour.
